POLYETHYLENE EMULSIONS
Chemcor produces both High Density (HDPE) and Low Density Polyethylene
(LDPE) Emulsions. These water based emulsions are very fluid,
easy to use surface modifiers for a wide range of water based products.
They are typically manufactured as Anionic, Cationic and Nonionic
emulsions. Anionic emulsions tend to have the best water resistance
but may increase VOC's (volatile organic compounds) and be slightly less
cost effective. Nonionic are the most common and versatile emulsions.
All of these products have sub-micron wax particles and can be used at
very high levels (10% plus) without hurting gloss. Following are a small
sample of our Polyethylene Emulsions. Please contact us for a full listing
or to request information on a grade you don't find here.
PROPERTIES: HDPE Emulsions: Rub Resistance, Slip, Heat
Resistance, Anti-blocking, Durability.
LDPE Emulsions: Burnishability, Release,
Rub Resistance, Slip
MARKETS: HDPE Emulsions: Graphic arts coatings, Paints,
Floor Finishes, Textiles, Inks, Industrial Coatings and Leather Coatings.
LDPE Emulsions: Floor Finishes, Graphic Arts Coatings, Mold Release, Fruit
Coatings, Textiles and Leather Coatings.
