CARNAUBA EMULSIONS

Carnauba wax is a hard, brittle vegetable wax. Carnauba wax occurs as a natural coating on the leaves of the carnauba palm, where its function is to minimize moisture loss. Carnauba wax is grown, harvested and processed in Brazil. Carnauba wax melts at 187°F/86°C. Carnauba is processed into several grades. Our emulsions are based on #1 and #3 grades. #1 grade is more refined and lighter colored than #3 grade. As a natural product both #1 and #3 grades of carnauba have broad FDA approval. All ChemCor carnauba emulsions meet FDA requirements for food contact applications.

PROPERTIES: Anti-blocking, Release, Burnishability, Water Resistance, Lubricity and Rub Resistance.

MARKETS: Auto/furniture polishes, fruit coating, can coating, graphic art coatings.
